Dr Saima Ijaz

(Class of ’89, Autism Consultant, Canada) I have been Planning and Implementing Programs for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, since 2001. I have a passion for educating families, paraprofessional and professionals associated with ASD in specific and communities enlarge in general, about basic autism awareness, understanding of a neurodiverse mind, along with adaptive teaching strategies for building communication, social skills and academics, that I have pursued both locally and internationally, via discussion forums, in-person workshops and online events and webinars. Currently I serve as a Board member for Plan Institute, Canada, and as Family Support Coordinator for Nanaimo Association for Community Living, Nanaimo.
