Protect Yourself and Your Loved Ones Before It’s Too Late – Easy Tips That Could Save Your Winter!

Common cold and viral flu hit hard in most places, especially during the chilly months. With crowded markets, busy buses, and family gatherings, these germs spread fast from one person to another. But don’t worry! You can fight back with simple steps that keep you, your family, and your neighbors safe. Here’s how to stay healthy without much effort.

  1. First, wash your hands often. Use soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after coming home from the bazaar or touching public things like door handles. This kills germs that cause cold and flu.
  2. Next, wear a mask when you’re in crowded places. In Lahore or Karachi’s packed streets, a simple mask stops droplets from sneezing or coughing from reaching you or others.

3. Eat healthy foods to boost your body’s defense. Load up on fresh fruits like oranges and guavas, vegetables like spinach, and nuts – all easy to find in local markets. A strong immune system fights off viruses better.

4. Drink plenty of warm fluids. Nothing beats a hot cup of adrak (ginger) tea or lemon water. It soothes your throat and helps flush out toxins.

5. Avoid close contact with sick people. If someone at home has a cold, keep distance and use separate utensils. Cover your mouth when you cough or sneeze with a tissue or your elbow.

6. Get enough sleep and stay active. A good night’s rest and light exercise like walking in the park strengthen your body against infections.

7. Finally, if you feel sick, stay home and rest. See a doctor if symptoms get worse, like high fever.

By following these tips, you not only protect yourself but also help stop the spread in your community.

Stay healthy and safe, always!
